GIFT A TREE

Participate in the reforestation project by donating a tree, the recommended donation is R200 but any amount is accepted. All sponsors will be recorded with their dedication on a wall of remembrance and will receive an e-certificate.

Your trees will be planted at the following locations:

Platbos, which is an ancient indigenous forest at the foot of Africa on the slopes of the Baviaanspoort Hills. It is on the Grootbos Road between the fishing village of Gansbaai and the seaside town of Hermanus in the Western Cape Province.

Gifting a tree at Platbos, means helping to conserve and extend the biodiversity of the forest. For when you plant a tree at Platbos, you are sponsoring a square metre of forest canopy and the myriad of life forms that this supports - from mosses, lichens, birds and bees, to bushbuck and honey badgers.

The 1008 Camphill Village West Coast Reforest project, near Atlantis in the Western Cape.  A dynamic community working with intellectually challenged adults, where the environment is cared for and where they produce quality products in a natural farm setting.

This reforesting program will enable us to prove how forests bring water back to the surface along the natural water coarses and will improve soil quality to produce food, encourage natural ecosystems and restore environmental harmony.  Once the forest is established Camphill will be used as a resource and education centre to inspire others to do the same.

Whether it’s planting a tree in honour of someone special, or gifting a tree to minimize your ecological footprint, your participation will contribute to leaving a legacy for generations to come
