Join this exciting reforest project at Camphill Farm Westcoast. The Peace tree Pilgrimage will leave from Woodbridge Island, Milnerton Cape Town on Arbor day 1st September at 8am, walking for two days, 42km along our magnificent shore line. Spend a night together at accommodation in Melbosstrand. The next day we walk through Koeberg Nature Reserve. As only 0.74% of West Coast Strandveld is being conserved at present, the Koeberg Nature Reserve plays a vital conserving role for this threatened veld type. The reserve is home to a number of animal species. The Grysbok, Steenbok and the larger Duiker are buck species which occur naturally in the area. The Bontebok and Springbok have been introduced. We then make our way to Camphill Farm, West Coast where we sleep and eat communally in the school hall, sharing stories and visions of bringing the rain back to Africa by reforesting
This Arbor month we vision planting 1008 trees at Camphill farm. Get your friends and family to join you on the 3rd September 10am. Plant our gifts and be a pioneer by creating a forest for generations to enjoy. Camphill will have it's monthly market in full swing, so there will be delicious treats to buy, and music to serenade us as we plant a future together. Investment for the pilgrimage R950, includes shared accomodation for two nights, two wholesome vegetarian meals, a back-up vehicle to carry our bedding and a small tog-bag with our goodies and of course your SPECIAL TREE!
Entrance to the Camphill Market on Sunday 3rd is FREE and absolutely everyone is welcome.
